Celebrating its centennial in 1987, NC State reorganized its internal structure, renaming all its schools to colleges (e.g. School of Engineering to the College of Engineering). Also in this year, it gained 700 acres (2.8 km 2) of land that was developed as Centennial Campus. Since then, NC State has focused on developing its new Centennial Campus.

UCLA's original residence hall was Hershey Hall, located on Hilgard Avenue in South Campus. It was named after Mira Hershey , who bequeathed $300,000 to have the all-women dorm built. [ 1 ] The original Hershey Hall of the 1930s is still in use today as an academic building.
A $31 million project, Centennial Hall opened in 2011. [32] Bray Hall, Marshall Hall, Illick Hall, and Moon Library border the quad. Other buildings on the Syracuse campus include one for maintenance and operations, a garage, and a greenhouse converted to office space. Among planned new buildings is a research support facility.
