BOK Financial Corporation — pronounced as letters, "B-O-K" — is a financial services holding company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Offering a full complement of retail and commercial banking products and services across the American Midwest and Southwest, the company is one of the 50 largest financial services firms in the U.S., [2] and the largest in Oklahoma.
The bank was founded in 1900 [1] under the name Oakwood State Bank. In 1958, Roddy Rawls Wiley, Jr. took over the bank after his father died. In 2005, the bank received a "substantial noncompliance" rating for lack of compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act. [2]
The bank was founded as Plains National Bank by Alan B. White, its former chairman, in 1988 in Lubbock, Texas USA.
