Swakopmund ("Mouth of the Swakop") is a city on the coast of western Namibia, [2] 352 km (219 mi) west of the Namibian capital Windhoek via the B2 main road.It is the capital of the Erongo administrative district.

Walvis Bay also boasts the only deep sea port and is the second largest town in the country. Swakopmund and Langstrand are popular beach resorts; Arandis supports mining industry and Swakopmund boasts manufacturing.
