Mizonokuchi Station opened on July 15, 1927, with the name in Japanese originally written as (溝ノ口駅). [1] The Japanese name was changed to the present format on January 20, 1966. [ 1 ] Initially built with a single side platform , the station was expanded in 1992 to four tracks and two island platforms .
Musashi-Kosugi Station (武蔵小杉駅, Musashi-Kosugi-eki) is a pair of physically separated interchange passenger railway stations, a block from each other, located in Nakahara Ward of eastern Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private-sector railway operator Tokyu Corporation.
The latter runs on the express track between Futako-Tamagawa and Mizonokuchi and does not stop at Futako-Shinchi or Takatsu. Limited-stop "Express" services are also provided. On weekends, two seven-car express trains per days are operated to/from Ōimachi and Nagatsuta on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line .
