The Old Jail Art Center (OJAC) is an art and regional history museum in Albany, Texas.It is housed in a former jail that was completed in 1878. After being replaced by a new jail in 1929, the old jail building was saved from demolition by local author and playwright Robert E. Nail Jr. in 1940.

The Old Jail Art Center in Albany, Texas, seat of Shackelford County. The building, the town's first permanent jail, was erected in 1877. Initials on many of the native limestone blocks show masons' claims for work. A plaque on the building notes that an early prisoner, John Selman, later killed notorious gunman John Wesley Hardin in El Paso.
Shackelford County was established in 1858, and its county seat was placed at Albany, Texas, in 1874. A wood-frame courthouse was raised in 1875, and a county jail (now the Old Jail Art Center) was built alongside it in 1878.

Together with his cousin Reilly Nail, Bomar founded the Old Jail Art Center in Albany, Texas in 1980.
