Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is an American professional field lacrosse league. The league's inaugural season debuted on June 1, 2019, and included a 14-week tour-based schedule taking place in 12 major-market cities. The PLL gave out 14 awards prior to its first championship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 29, 2019.
By October 2018, 140 players had been signed by the PLL. Of the 140 players are 86 All-Americans, 25 members of the U.S. national team, and 10 former Tewaaraton Award winners. In the PLL, the MVP award (and all other awards) are selected by a two-round voting process. In first round voting, players and coaches will vote to determine nominees for each award. In second round voting, Media, PLL Front Office, and PLL Lacrosse Advisory Board vote on nominees to determine winners.
On August 22, the PLL announced the finalists for the 2024 End of Season Awards via Instagram. The Winners were announced on September 13th, two days prior to the Championship Game in Philadelphia. The players voted on the nominees and the winners were selected by the PLL Coaches and Front Office, Award Namesakes, and members of the media. [45]
