The Parish and National Shrine of Saint Padre Pio, [1] commonly known as Padre Pio Shrine, is a Roman Catholic parish church and pilgrimage site situated along Governor Antonio Carpio Avenue (Santo Tomas–Lipa Road) in Barangay San Pedro, Santo Tomas, Batangas, Philippines. It is consecrated to the Italian Saint Pio of Pietrelcina.

The first St Padre Pio parish in the world was established on 16 June 2002 in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada. [148] There are parishes in Vineland and Lavallette, New Jersey, and Sydney, Australia, and shrines in Buena, New Jersey, and Santo Tomas, Batangas, Philippines, dedicated to Padre Pio.
Although Jesuit-built, it was the Augustinian Recollects who installed a more modern facade to the church in the 19th century. This is the bell tower of the Baclayon church. The venerated Padre Pio, later Saint Pio, was associated with this church. More notes on him later. Baclayon church is noted for its 'miracle images' appearing on its walls.
