State Route 66 (SR 66) is a state highway in the U.S. state of California that runs along a section of old U.S. Route 66 in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. It goes from State Route 210 in La Verne east to Interstate 215 in San Bernardino, passing through Claremont, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana and Rialto along Foothill Boulevard.
Fontana is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Founded by Azariel Blanchard Miller in 1913, [ 1 ] it remained essentially rural until World War II , when entrepreneur Henry J. Kaiser built a large steel mill in the area.
The Semi-Tropic Land and Water Company platted Rosena in 1887, but no construction occurred in the area until after the Fontana Development Company bought the land in 1903. The company made plans to build a farm on the property, and construction began in 1905; the Camp No. 1 house served as the farm's main headquarters and housed its managers.
