Leroy "Lonnie" Jordan (born November 21, 1948, in San Diego) [1] [2] is an American musician and songwriter. He is a founding member of the American funk band War. [3] Jordan had a number of roles over the years, acting as vocalist and playing guitar, piano, synthesizer, and percussion.

On April 21, 2008, Eric Burdon performed "Spill the Wine" with War in concert at the London Royal Albert Hall, released as Greatest Hits Live on Avenue / Rhino Records, who also reissued much of War's back catalog that year.
