Mackenzie Community School is a public K–12 school in Deep River, Ontario. [1] It is a very small school with a student body of approximately 600 as of 2018. Its colours are purple and gold, and their sport teams' name is The Mustangs. The school's motto is Together We Inspire Learning.
It formed in the 1958 consolidation of the Deep River and Millersburg schools. Initially the Millersburg school building housed all levels except grades K–4, which were in Deep River. At a later point upper elementary grades were moved to Deep River. [3] Secondary enrollment was declining in the period prior to 1992. [3]

Keys School was founded in 1955 and named after Dr. DA Keys, a vice-president of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. The school served students in kindergarten through eighth grade. By the time the original building closed at the end of the 2004–2005 school year, Keys served fifth through eighth grade students.
A Fall River native, he graduated from Swansea’s Joseph Case High School in 2001 and College of the Holy Cross in 2005. He has a master’s degree in special education from Simmons College.
