The Guest House of the Senate of Hamburg (German: Gästehaus des Hamburger Senats) is a villa on the Außenalster in the Hamburg borough of Uhlenhorst. It was built in 1868 as a residence for building materials trader Johann Friedrich Krogmann.

Binnenalster (pronounced [ˈbɪnənˌʔalstɐ] ⓘ) or Inner Alster Lake is one of two artificial lakes within the city limits of Hamburg, Germany, which are formed by the river Alster (the other being the Außenalster). The main annual festival is the Alstervergnügen. The lake has an area of 0.2 square kilometres (0.077 sq mi). [1]
The Alster is navigatable some 9 km upstream from the mouth. Alster Touristik GmbH (ATG), a subsidiary of the Hamburger Hochbahn, provides public and touristic transport on a fleet of Alster ferries in the city of Hamburg. At Große Bleichen there are many shop-fronts and passage entrances, including Hamburger Hof, Hanse-Viertel (Hanse quarter), Galleria, Kaufmannshaus (Merchant's House) and Bleichenhof. Some restaurants and cafés can be found here as well. Ohnsorg theatre was located here until it moved to its new location near Hauptbahnhof (main station) in 2011.
