The Blue Route Scenic Byway follows I-476 between I-95 in Chester, Delaware County and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) in Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County.The byway provides access to many sites in and near the Brandywine Valley in Delaware County including Ridley Creek State Park, Media Theatre, the Brandywine River Museum, Tyler Arboretum, and the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum.
In much of Cameron and Clinton counties, PA 120 is a Pennsylvania Scenic Byway designated the Bucktail State Park Natural Area. [3] Bucktail State Park Natural Area runs 75 miles (121 km) from Emporium to Lock Haven, and is named for the Pennsylvania Bucktails Regiment, who came from the area during the American Civil War.
The byway is recognized as a state scenic byway by both New York and Pennsylvania (the latter designation coming in 2003) and was named a National Scenic Byway in two stages. In New York, the Seaway Trail became one of the first byways in the nation to be declared a National Scenic Byway when it received the distinction in 1996.
