Azami Nakiri (薙切 薊, Nakiri Azami), born Azami Nakamura (中村 薊, Nakamura Azami) is Erina's father who returns from banishment to become the second headmaster of Totsuki in the 16th to 30th volume of the series. He was once a well-respected Council member who was two years younger than Joichiro.
The third season is broken into two parts. The first covers the Moon Festival when Soma Yukihira challenges Council of Ten Masters member Terunori Kuga to a challenge to see who can raise the most money during the three day event. At the end of the event, Erina Nakiri's father, Azami Nakiri, appears and takes over the school.
