Chile is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and has not entered in any IIHF World Championship events.
The team have not played in any world championships until the Chilean Ice and Inline Hockey Federation was founded and it joined the IIHF in 2000. The team does however participate in the IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship and the FIRS Inline Hockey World Championship tournaments (organised by International Roller Sports Federation). The Chile men's national field hockey team represents Chile in men's international field hockey competitions and is controlled by the Federación Chilena de Hockey Sobre Césped. It is affiliated with the International Hockey Federation and the Pan American Hockey Federation. Hockey arrived in Chile in the mid-20th century.
Chile competed at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile from October 20 to November 5, 2023. Chile was the host nation of the games, marking the first time the country hosts the games. [1] This was Chile's 19th appearance at the Pan American Games, having competed at every edition of the games since the inaugural edition in 1951.
