The 1st Louisiana Cavalry Regiment, also known as Scott's Cavalry Regiment, was a cavalry regiment from Louisiana that served in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War.
He was an officer in Walker’s army. Back in the U.S. in 1859, he married Ellen Virginia Allen. The couple had three children. During the Civil War, he was captured by Union forces outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1864. After the war, in 1879, Allen moved to Texas, where he became the operator of a cotton press. [11]

Charles Brewster Wheeler (May 3, 1865 – April 11, 1946) was a career officer in the United States Army. An 1887 graduate of the United States Military Academy , he was a veteran of the Spanish–American War , Philippine–American War , and World War I and attained the rank of brigadier general .
