In 2016, Lego Education at CES 2016 announced the WeDo 2.0 was launched in 2016 robotics kit for elementary school students. The updated WeDo 2.0 was designed to teach kids from second to fourth grades STEM basics. The WeDo 2.0 core set (set number: 45300) included a programmable Smarthub, medium motor, two sensors and 280 pieces.
The Tetrix Robotics kits are educational robotics. They are designed for K-12 students. However, it also has the potential to support students in higher education and be used to teach higher level engineering concepts. The difficulties of Tetrix robotics builds can be categorized into three levels.
In 2009, with the new robotics kit by Lego Group, the program included Lego WeDo as an optional kit [5] which allows children to connect a motor and/or a sensor to other Lego bricks, gears and other technic elements.
