Romanian market is dominated by two large groups: Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. and Intact Media Group, with PRO TV and Antena 1 as main channels and Kanal D also gain audience starting 2014 as the third channel. There are over 50 channels running ads, as of 2015 television being the best type of advertising in Romania.
Disney Junior is a British-managed Romanian pay television preschool channel owned by The Walt Disney Company Limited in London. [1] It was launched as a programming block in 1 June 2011, named as Disney Junior Pė Disney Channel and is Currently a channel since 1 March 2012. [2] Playhouse Disney was rebranded as Disney Junior on 1 June 2011. [3]
On September 25, 1999, after rebranding three times, TVR1 became "(TV) Romania 1". In March 2000, TVR2 changed its identity, logo and presentation for the fourth time. On March 1, 2001, TVR2 switched to round-the-clock programming, "Romania 1" following suit 9 days later along with a new logo in the flag colors.
