Templates relating to quotations. For quotations in articles, either <blockquote>...</blockquote> or the {{ Quote }} template should suffice. Templates that add quotation marks, especially decorative ones such as {{ Cquote }} , are reserved for pull quotes (i.e. should be avoided in articles).

Many direct quotations can be minimized in length by providing an appropriate context in the surrounding text. A summary or paraphrase of a quotation is often better where the original wording could be improved. Consider minimizing the length of a quotation by paraphrasing, by working small portions of the quotation into the article text, or both.
Do not inject or the template {} into a work title. If it seems important to use, do it after the title. Within a citation, it is better to use an HTML comment, e.g., |title=The Compleat Gamester<!--Original period spelling.-->. Do not use the templated version of {} inside citation template data at all, except in the |quote= parameter.
