Newport High School (NHS) is a public high school in Bellevue, Washington. It serves students in grades 9–12 in the southern part of the Bellevue School District, including the neighborhoods of Eastgate, Factoria, Newport Hills, Newport Shores, Somerset, The Summit, and Sunset. As of the 2022–23 school year, the principal is Dion Yahoudy.

In 2008, 67% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Of 211 students, 141 graduated, 44 dropped out, five received a modified diploma, and 21 were still in high school in 2009. [3] [4] In 2022, 85% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Of 154 students, 132 graduated and 22 dropped out. [5]
In FY 2023, the city paid its non-school employees a total of $34 million and its school employees received a total of $28.9 million.

Ground breaking for the first high school in Newport Beach began June 14, 1930, at an original construction cost of $410,000. [5] The original school comprised a main building, the main gym, the tower, a wood shop, the bus garage, and a caretaker's cottage. The total enrollment that first year was just 178 students, taught by 12 faculty members.
The Aviators currently have a men's basketball program and a women's softball program that compete in the Bi-State Conference. [1] Aviator basketball is played in the gymnasium of Newport High School, meanwhile the women's softball team will play their games at George Kell Field in Newport.
