Clearly, the metro Seattle area has the lowest pricing, with $.18/kwh except for 11 AM - 8 PM which is $.36/kwh. I have used the information to plan my trips as some of the neighboring pairs of SC have wide swings in pricing. For example, Centralia is $.38/kwh and Tumwater is $.37/kwh but Kelso is only $.26/kwh.
So my formula estimates $0.15/kWh. PCMc said: I charged from 42% to 90%, adding 129.5 rated miles which equates to roughly 37 kWh. The first 15 minutes was above the 60 kW level which I believe is $.24 per min and then the balance of 25 minutes was below 60kW at $0.12 per min, for a total cost of $6.60.
If you intend to use the Supercharging network to pull power of at least 130kWh for the month, then paying $12.99 for a subscription would be "worth it". This assumes that the non-subscription cost is $0.10 more than normal AND that you have no access to cheaper native CCS chargers. For example, assume that you own a late model Chevy Bolt and ...
In my experience, the maximum charge rate of this Supercharger is 67 kW. I tried to turn down the maximum charge rate to just below 60 kW, but it appears the Supercharger over-rides the maximum current limit setting. So I am stuck paying triple the residential rate for Supercharging in Victoria BC. I understand that per kWh billing will be ...
Overall pricing for my charging was very good. One thing I did notice is the cost difference between when I was being charged per minute or per kilowatt. In Georgia the cost was $0.12 or $0.24 per minute depending on how fast your car charges, but in Florida the cost was $0.24 per kilowatt. If you do the math that turns out to be twice as ...
891. 1,303. Central Valley, CA. Dec 7, 2021. #3. Per kWh, in the high 30 cents (37,38,39 cents typically) for locations without time of use. 24 cents and 48 cents as of 12/7/21 for locations with time of use pricing (a handful of outliers such as Manteca 1, Antioch, andTejon Ranch have slightly lower time of use pricing). Silicon Desert.
Mar 10, 2022. #1. I note that on the Tesla web site the cost at the Supercharger for 100 miles on the clock went up from £7 to £8 in the last couple of days (28p per Kwh) I also note that my Octopus supply has gone up for 19p to 21.39p per Kwh (making the Supercharger 25% more expensive than home - not bad. All very understandable under ...
Mar 16, 2022. #2. My home charging is 1/3 the price of Supercharging. Home: 10.5 cents per kWh, although I'm on a very aggressive time-of-use rate plan with demand charges and I work it. Supercharging: 32 cents per kWh average. Home: roughly 3 cents per mile. Supercharging: roughly 10 cents per mile.
May 25, 2018. 37. 12. Aurora. Aug 3, 2023. #1. I noticed today that the Tesla app shows charging fees as per kWh now. Most of the ones in the GTA are 0.47-0.48 cents per kWh. I was planning a trip the other day, looking at the cost of supercharging along the way and I'm sure it was still per min.
Say on a 750km trip with a LR (with say real-world 400km range). You top-up to 100% night before at say €0.15 (or possibly less if you have solar) Drive 300km. Top-up at supercharger from 25% to 75% at $0.60. Drive 200km, top-up for free at a Destination Charger at a restaurant you go to. Drive home, arriving with 20%.
