I got a Kraken V3 X headset but i cannot use the 7.1 surround sound: I installed 7.1 surround sound but in the output devices on windows (windows 11) there is no option “7.1 surround”. I tried reinstalling 7.1 surround sound, reinstalling the audio drivers, updating using windows update, … nothing resolved the issue so far.

The overall problem is primarily attributed to the drivers needed for the Kraken V3 headset. When setting up the headset, windows will also install THX Spatial Audio drivers. From my understanding (and experimenting) the spatial audio will only work if THX drivers are the default audio device.
