Kishore Kumar (born Abhas Kumar Ganguly; pronunciation ⓘ; 4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987) was an Indian playback singer, musician and actor. [11] He is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential and dynamic singers in the history of modern Indian music.
The soundtrack featured the first film song sung by singer Kishore Kumar, "Marne Ki Duaen Kyon Mangun", [4] a solo picturised on Dev Anand. The film also included Lata Mangeshkar 's solo, "Chanda Re Ja Re Ja, Piya Se Sandesa Mora Kahiyo Ja", picturised on Kamini Kaushal.
