World on Wheels was a roller rink in Los Angeles, California, United States that focused on Hip Hop and R&B. The rink opened in 1981, then closed in 2013 due to filing bankruptcy. In 1956, a former reservoir was converted to a skating rink to accommodate requests for year-round ice-skating facilities. The open-air rink would facilitate ice hockey and figure-skating in the winter, and dancing and roller-skating events in the summer. In October 1957, it opened to the public.
Synthetic ice will allow year-round skating close to Columbia State Historic Park.
The rink's 2023 season runs from April 14 through October. Flipper's is open Sunday–Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m and Thursday–Saturday from noon to midnight.
