The Gold production in Zimbabwe had been nose-diving over the years from 10.960 tonnes in 2006 to 3.072 tonnes in 2008 which were more than 40 percent in production drop. On 30 June 2008, Fidelity Printers and Refinery was expelled from the LBMA because it failed to produce a minimum of 10 tonnes per year to maintain its membership. [ 7 ]
