Franklin is in the southwest corner of Kewaunee County. It is bordered to the west by Brown County and to the south by Manitowoc County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.2 square miles (93.7 km 2 ), of which 35.5 square miles (91.9 km 2) are land and 0.69 square miles (1.8 km 2 ), or 1.91%, are water.
