David Russell Strathairn (/ s t r ə ˈ θ ɛər n /; [1] born January 26, 1949) [2] is an American actor. Known for his leading roles on stage and screen, he has often portrayed historical figures such as Edward R. Murrow , J. Robert Oppenheimer , William H. Seward , and John Dos Passos .
Alistair Strathern [2] was born on 5 March 1990, [3] and grew up in Bedfordshire. [4] He was educated at Sharnbrook Academy in Sharnbrook, [5] before studying philosophy, politics and economics at St Anne's College, Oxford, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
