ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital is a public hospital in Defiance, Ohio that is part of the ProMedica Health System. Their cafeteria is popular with local residents; between January and June 2004, the number of meals served on Sundays more than doubled.
ProMedica is a non-profit health care system [2] with locations in northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan, and southern Pennsylvania. [3] The system includes a health education and research center, the health maintenance organization Paramount Health Care, nursing homes, a ground/air ambulance service, a local business network of private practices and several hospitals.
When the hospital outgrew its original location, it purchased 12 acres (4.9 ha) from Broening Park, formerly the site of the Maryland Yacht Club. Construction of the present MedStar Harbor Hospital began in 1967 and was completed in 1968. The present location's proximity to the Inner Harbor inspired the name, Harbor Hospital. [5]

However, these plans have come under opposition from internet based privacy advocate groups, and blogs, often citing privacy concerns.
By 2011, the 410/443 area was once again running out of numbers because of the continued proliferation of cell phones. To spare residents another number change to a new area code, a third overlay code, area code 667, was implemented on March 24, 2012.
