I love Fantrax. It's (almost) everything I've ever wanted in a fantasy sports platform. THAT SAID, arranging keepers - particularly if you do round-based-systems - can be super frustrating. My draft was such a fiasco... when we entered, every single 'keeper' was in the player pool so we had to cancel and start over a different day.
Fantrax has the best features and commish control IMO. It has been really helpful in my league that has custom keeper settings that ESPN couldn’t handle. Unfortunately people still complain and want to go back to the safer ESPN, but I think people who are really into fantasy will prefer Fantrax.
We used Fantrax this year for fantasy college basketball because we wanted to do a league with only Big Ten players. It works really, really well for that. I was surprised by the number of options and how easy it was to configure. We've only had one major issue, that being a rather major glitch during our online auction.
I think score is just a combination of all the categories and meshes into 1 number, relative to the rest of the league. Same thing as player rater if you’ve played on espn. As for why pitchers are all at the top, I can’t say for sure. My leagues is 6x5. Avg, slg, hr, r, rbi, sb. Then W, k, era, whip, saves. That seems to balance it a bit more.
I used it for baseball last year and hockey this year. I like it for a lot of things. Yahoo hockey doesn’t allow for farm systems so dynasty leagues are a pain in that format. Fantrax is quite simple to use, decent visually, has live updates and is user friendly. The one thing I don’t like is that if you go and set your lines for the week ...
This started a few weeks ago and about 40% of each my leagues on Fantrax still can't log on without issues. Luckily I'm not having trouble but at this point it's negatively affecting the leagues. I've tried reaching out via to get any tips or updates and they push me off to their support. I emailed their support a few times over the course of ...
Using ESPN for 5x5 H2H. During the first matchup of the season, I originally changed the minimum innings required to qualify for ERA and WHIP to 28 since it was a short matchup and I wanted to make sure it was easier for teams to qualify. After that week was complete, I changed the minimum back to our league’s standard 35 innings, it ...
It includes everything from the origins of fantasy baseball and fantasy football, through the first magazines, books, websites, stat services, high stakes games, worldwide expansion, etc., etc. I spent 18 months doing massive research and interviewing dozens of people. This is not written like a boring research paper.
Seen a lot of love for Fantrax on Reddit and one of my baseball leagues moved over to Fantrax from ESPN. I thought it would be a big improvement or at least a small one, but it's worse. The UI is cluttered. Can't customize my team view the way I thought I'd be able to, i.e.
Leaguesafe with Majority Approval, Fantrax Treasurer, and Yahoo Private Cash leagues are the safest ways to collect and distribute fantasy league dues. It is not safe to join random leagues that use paypal, venmo, zelle, cash app, etc Money management sites can't protect you 100%. Only deal with people you trust, and watch out for shady dealings.
