Emergency +4 is a 1973–74 American animated television series based on the live action prime-time series Emergency! [ 1 ] The cartoon features the show's two main characters, young firefighter-paramedics John Roderick "Johnny" Gage and Roy DeSoto, voiced by the actors who played them on the prime-time series, Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe .
The series follows the inner life of the emergency room (ER) of fictional Cook County General Hospital in Chicago, and various critical issues faced by the room's physicians and staff. During the course of the series, 331 episodes of ER aired over fifteen seasons, between September 19, 1994, and April 2, 2009.
