The Knox County Schools announced in October 2010 that the TAP program (formerly the Teacher Advancement Program) was to be expanded to 13 schools, including South-Doyle High School. The expansion was funded by a five-year $26.5 million federal grant awarded to the Teacher Incentive Fund.
