It's Showdown was a televised Philippine dance competition airing as a segment of the noon time show, It's Showtime that premiered from October 30 to December 2, 2023. [1] [2] [3] The segment was then replaced by Expecially for You the following Monday. During the course of the show, 45 different groups competed.
Each team also comprises members of It's Showtime dance groups Hashtags and GirlTrends. The Magpasikat judges for this year's competition were musical director Mel Villena , beauty queen Precious Lara Quigaman , film director Nick Olanka, singer-actress Jolina Magdangal , and Senator Sonny Angara .
Tawag ng Tanghalan: Duets was a special edition of Tawag ng Tanghalan that was aired as a segment of the noontime show It's Showtime. It featured returning contenders, a similar to the All-Star Grand Resbak, and a duet-style competition. [1] [2] The season ran from May 8 to July 1, 2023.
This is the competition's first round. Major auditions were held in major Philippine cities. Since the second season, in addition to the major auditions, there have been mini-auditions held in various provinces and cities throughout the Philippines and judged by the Pilipinas Got Talent staff.
In the first four seasons, Showtime ' s original competition format was that three groups, each made up of 2 to 25 members (with no age limit) perform a single performance, either a dance and/or song number. Before the performance, one group member is given 20 seconds to make an introduction before ending with the phrase "It's Showtime!".
