Hudson Valley Community College is a public community college in Troy, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY). Although about eighty percent of the students are from the Capital District , the remainder are from other parts of New York, other states and from some 30 countries around the world.

In 1992, the county of Hudson committed to reorganize Hudson County Community College, with plans to improve services, expand enrollment and provide an urban style campus; this included a renovation to the former Public Service Building at 25 Journal Square, which was converted into classrooms and a library. [4]
The Hudson Valley Writer Center is a non-profit literary arts organization in Philipsburg Manor, Sleepy Hollow, NY. It was established on August 5, 1988, by Margo Taft Stever , a Sleepy Hollow poet, with the assistance of the Westchester Council of Arts, and moved into its permanent home at the Philipse Manor Railroad Station in 1996. The Bronx Community College Library is located on the campus of Bronx Community College and is a part of the City University of New York system. The library is at the North Hall, and this was opened on 2012. [1] There are three floors in this building, with the ground floor having 15 classrooms.
In 2001 the library received a $6.5 million gift from Professor Ruth Gottesman, to establish 'the Library of the Future'. [4] A dedication ceremony was held on November 4, 2004. [ 5 ] Previously the library of Teachers College was known as Milbank Memorial Library, named after Thomas Milbank and dedicated as such in 1982. [ 6 ]
The former Harmanus Bleecker Library is located at the intersection of Washington Avenue (New York State Route 5) and Dove Street in Albany, New York, United States. It is a brick and stone Classical Revival building constructed in the 1920s. In 1996 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [1]
