Kumki is the soundtrack to the 2012 film of the same name directed by Prabhu Solomon, starring Vikram Prabhu (in his film debut) and Lakshmi Menon.The ten-song soundtrack consisted of seven musical numbers composed by D. Imman and written by Yugabharathi, and karaoke versions of three songs.
The lyrical version of this single was released by Sony Music India on 14 February 2020, [1] [2] and the video song was released on 20 January 2021. [3] The song was earlier titled as "Oru Kutti Kathai" in Tamil, owing to Vijay narrating short stories to fans during his speech at his audio launches. [4] [5] [6]
The track "Kaanunna Kalyanam", the lyrics pattern has been followed in Malayalam and Hindi version songs. But in Tamil version song "Kannukkulle" the lyrics pattern was different. As there was a change over of male and female lyric part compare to Telugu version. To match the lip sync, the song was reshot in Tamil version alone. [5]
