Snapdragon Stadium is an outdoor multi-purpose stadium in San Diego, California, located on the campus of San Diego State University (SDSU). Opened in 2022, it is the home of the San Diego State Aztecs football team. The Aztecs compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Mountain West Conference (MW).
From its opening in 1967 through the 2019 season, San Diego Stadium had been the home of San Diego State University Aztecs football. San Diego Stadium, also known as Jack Murphy Stadium, Qualcomm Stadium, and SDCCU Stadium during its existence, was a multi-purpose stadium located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, about 5 miles from campus.
In 2020, San Diego State University (SDSU) purchased the stadium site, with plans to develop the area into a noncontiguous campus expansion following the stadium's demolition, now known as SDSU Mission Valley. Snapdragon Stadium opened on the site in 2022 as the new home for the Aztecs football team.
