This timeline of Apple products is a list of all computers, phones, tablets, wearables, and other products made by Apple Inc. This list is ordered by the release date of the products. Macintosh Performa models were often physically identical to other models, in which case they are omitted in favor of the identical twin.
The iPad is a brand of iOS- and iPadOS-based tablet computers that are developed and marketed by Apple.The first-generation iPad was introduced on January 27, 2010. Since then, the iPad product line has been expanded to include the smaller iPad Mini, the lighter and thinner iPad Air, and the flagship iPad Pro models.
This iPad model was announced by Apple on March 24, 2017 in a press release. [5] [6] [7] There has been confusion around its naming, being referred to as just "iPad" in marketing, [6] but called the "fifth-generation iPad" in official statements and specifications sheets, [8] [3] a title previously taken by 2013's iPad Air.
The iPad (6th generation) [4] (also referred to as the iPad 9.7-inch [5]) is a tablet computer developed and marketed by Apple Inc. It was announced on March 27, 2018, during an education-focused event at Lane Tech High School in Chicago [6] and is the successor to the fifth-generation iPad, upgraded with the Apple A10 Fusion processor and support for styluses such as Apple Pencil. [7]
