BBC Online, formerly known as BBCi, is the BBC's online service. It is a large network of websites including such high-profile sites as BBC News and Sport, the on-demand video and radio services branded BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds, the children's sites CBBC and CBeebies, and learning services such as Bitesize and Own It.
GCSE Bitesize was launched in January 1998, covering seven subjects. For each subject, a one- or two-hour long TV programme would be broadcast overnight in the BBC Learning Zone block, and supporting material was available in books and on the BBC website. At the time, only around 9% of UK households had access to the internet at home.

Chris Moyles continues to use the pips at the beginning of his show on Radio X. The pips were previously used at 19:00 on Saturday evenings at the start of Radio 1's 12-hour simulcast with digital station BBC Radio 1Xtra. The pips were also used on Radio 6 Music for a rare occurrence.
On 12 November 2019, it was announced that Magic Light Pictures and BBC One would team up once again on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's Zog And The Flying Doctors for Christmas Day 2020 at 2:35pm, with music by French composer and musician Rene Aubry. Zog and the Flying Doctors was released on DVD on 22 March 2021 in the United Kingdom.
