Akumal is a small beachfront tourist resort community in Mexico, 100 km (62 mi) south of Cancún, between the towns of Playa del Carmen and Tulum. It is on Akumal Bay and Half Moon Bay on the site of a former coconut plantation in Tulum Municipality in the state of Quintana Roo , and is part of the Riviera Maya area.

Hotel Club Akumal Caribe is a resort located along the shore of Akumal Bay (62 miles south of Cancún), in the Caribbean tourism district referred to as the Riviera Maya in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The resort is still owned, at least in large part, by the Pablo Bush family who founded Akumal itself, a diving town established in the 1950s.
XHAKUM went on the air September 3, 2018, along with Acustik 95.3, which had been off the air for two weeks. In January 2019, all Acustik operations in Quintana Roo changed to the name Origen, including the radio station in Cancún and the simulcasting station in Akumal. It currently has the Maya FM format.
