Global Environment Outlook (GEO) is a series of reports that review the state and direction of the global environment, issued periodically by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). The report includes a graph reconstructing global temperature since the year 1000. The sharp rise in temperature in recent years gave it the name "hockey stick". This became a powerful image of how temperature is soaring with climate change. The report also shows how adaptation to the effects of climate change can reduce some of its ill effects.
The International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) of the UN Environment Programme is an initiative [1] which tackles the problem of methane emissions by collecting, integrating, and reconciling methane data from different sources, including scientific measurement studies, satellites, industry reporting through the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0, and national inventories.

The Regional Hub (RH) is co-hosted by the Asian Institute of Technology – UNEP Regional Resource Centre for Asia-Pacific (AIT- UNEP RRC.AP) and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) in Bangkok, Thailand. The Regional Hub is the implementing body of the Network at the regional level (where relevant). [13]
