    There is no standard, there are usually 54 cards, and deck is referred to as pack in some countries. When I buy a pack (deck) of cards I always get at least 54 cards (4 suits of 13 cards plus two Jokers). Depending upon the game being played zero, one, two or more cards are removed from the pack to make up the playing deck.
