I have tried a complete refresh and I have checked the registry policies for Defender and I don't appear to have a rogue process. There are earlier suggestions on this site for fixes that don't seem to work anymore to re-enable Virus and Threat Protection on Windows 11 Home version. Would appreciate any assistance. Right-click on the blank space in this folder. Rest the cursor on "New", and select "Dword (32-bit) Value". Type "UILockdown" and leave the Dword = 0 (0 = Show 1 = Hide) Left click on the blank space, then exit the Registry. No need to Restart. "Virus & Threat Protection" should be accessible now.
