The Florida Times-Union is a daily newspaper in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Widely known as the oldest newspaper in the state, it began publication as the Florida Union in 1864. Its current incarnation started in 1883, when the Florida Union merged with another Jacksonville paper, the Florida Daily Times .

It was acquired by the Rochester Union which was bought by Frank Gannett. In 1918 Gannett merged it with Evening Times to form the Times-Union. Ten years later Gannett purchased the 100-year-old Democrat and Chronicle, the paper with which the Times-Union ultimately merged in 1997. By 1963, the newspaper was known as just The Times-Union.
