Descendants 3 is an American musical fantasy [1] [2] television film, being the third installment in the Descendants series, following Descendants and Descendants 2, and the last one in the film trilogy focused on Mal (Dove Cameron) and her friends. It is written by Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon, and is directed by Kenny Ortega.
Descendants 3 was released on August 2, 2019, along with the parent film, and featured 13 tracks, with much of the songs are written originally for the film. Also included in the album are: "Dig a Little Deeper" from the 2009 film The Princess and the Frog, two songs from the first film's soundtrack, "Did I Mention" and a remixed version of "Rotten to the Core".
Descendants Remix Dance Party is a television special released on March 20, 2020 on Disney Channel, featuring Cheyenne Jackson returning in the role of Hades from Descendants 3, who hosts a dance party with reimagined musical hits from the Descendants films, performed by Sofia Wylie, Dara Reneé, and Kylie Cantrall.
