Mahabharat is an Indian Hindi-language epic television series based on the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata.The original airing consisted of a total of 94 episodes [2] and were broadcast from 2 October 1988 to 24 June 1990 on Doordarshan.
[1] [2] The 166-episode show is based on Mahabharat, told by sage and seer Veda Vyasa Maharshi and supposed to be written by Lord Vinayaka Bhagavan on sage Vyasa's instruction for the bounty of human race thousands of years ago. The show starred Poovilangu Mohan, Saakshi Siva, Amit Bhargav, Neelima Rani, Ilavarasan, Nisha Krishnan and among others.
In the meantime, Arjuna befriends Lord Krishna, his cousin (Lord Krishna's father was Vasudev, brother of Kunti), and a leader of Yadavas and helps to unite him with Rukmini. The Kauravas attempt to kill the Pandavas using a palace made of wax, but the Pandavas escape. They go into exile so that all others believe them to be dead.

Shri Krishna, also known as Krishna is a 1993–1999 Indian Hindi-language television series, created, written and directed by Ramanand Sagar.It is an adaptation of the stories of the life of Krishna, based on the Srimad Bhagavatam, Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Harivamsa, Vishnu Purana, Padma Purana, Garga Samhita, Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata.
Duryodhana and Arjuna go to Krishna at Dvaraka to ask for his and his army's help. Duryodhana arrives first and finds Krishna asleep. Duryodhana chooses a seat at Krishna's head and waits for him to awaken, while Arjuna sits and waits at Krishna's feet. When Krishna woke up, he saw Arjuna first and gave him the first right to make his request.
