Palash Baran Pal (Bengali: পলাশ বরন পাল Palāś Baran Pāl, born : 1955) is an Indian theoretical physicist, an Emeritus Professor in the Physics Department of Science College, Calcutta University, Kolkata, [1] a writer, [2] [3] a linguist [4] and a poet.

Euphoria (Bangla: ইউফোরিয়া, Hindi: युफ़ोरिया) is an Indian pop rock band formed by Palash Sen in 1998 in Delhi, India.The name "Euphoria", is a term used in Psychiatry to describe a feeling one gets in the state of Mania, was decided upon by Sen, who at the time was a student of medicine at the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi.

[1]Arun Chakraborty, a folk artist (and engineer by training), [2] wrote the poem after spotting a leafless Palash tree at Srirampur Station, he considered the tree to be misfit and thought that it should belong to the red hills.
