Trat province (Thai: ตราด, pronounced), also spelt Trad province, is one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (changwat), and is located in the region of eastern Thailand. It borders Chanthaburi province to the northwest, and Cambodia and its provinces of Pailin , Battamabang , Pursat , and Koh Kong to its north, northeast and east.

Trat (Thai: ตราด, pronounced), also spelt Trad, is a town in Thailand, [1] capital of Trat province and the Mueang Trat district. The town is in the east of Thailand, [ 2 ] at the mouth of the Trat River , near the border with Cambodia .

Neighboring districts are (from the west clockwise): Laem Ngop, Khao Saming, and Bo Rai of Trat Province; Pursat and Koh Kong Provinces of Cambodia; Khlong Yai of Trat Province; and the Gulf of Thailand. The district has one border crossing into Cambodia, at Ban Tha Sen. It is a "temporary" crossing, open only several days a week.
