ARC Logo Orientation Week. Arc @ UNSW Limited is the student organisation at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and is a not-for-profit public company. In 2005, the Federal Parliament passed legislation making membership of student unions voluntary for the first time.
UNSW College, owned by UNSW Sydney, offers pathway programs for international students to university. UNSW was the first in Australia to offer a Foundation Studies program, and also established the first university language centre in the country. More recently, UNSW College's offerings have increased with the addition of Diplomas and Pre-Masters.
All entries in the ICAS competitions receive an award or certificate, online access to their results/profile, and a results paper. The top 1 percent of each competition earn a "High Distinction". "Distinction" is awarded for the next 10 percent. [1] All students who enter ICAS receive a Certificate and Student Report letter.

UNSW Foundation Studies students take classes on the main UNSW campus, located in the Sydney suburb of Kensington. The main building—where the UNSW Foundation Studies office is located—is known as the L5 building, but classes take place in university buildings across the campus. All campus facilities are available to Foundation students.

The Australasian Schools English Competition is a literary competition open to school students in years 3–12 in Australia and New Zealand. It is run by the University of New South Wales Educational Testing Centre. It is a test with about 60 questions for comprehension, spelling, grammar and general knowledge.
