The ICC Men's T20 World Cup, formerly the ICC World Twenty20, is a biennial T20I cricket tournament, organised by the International Cricket Council.It was held in every odd year from 2007 to 2009, and since 2010 has been held in every even year with the exception of 2018 and 2020.
They have an overall win–loss record of 32–16 from 49 matches. South Africa hosted the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007. They are yet to win a title although they came close after reaching the final in 2024, but ended up being runners-up after losing to India national cricket team. [1]
The 50-over World Cup is far older and has been competed for since back in 1975. Australia are the record winners having run out victorious on five occasions (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015).
