Ramada e Caneças is a civil parish in the municipality of Odivelas, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Ramada and Caneças. [1] The population in 2011 was 32,581, [2] in an area of 9.66 km 2. [3]
Ramada (Portuguese pronunciation: [ʁɐˈmaðɐ]) is a former civil parish in the municipality of Odivelas, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Ramada e Caneças . [ 1 ] It covers an area of 3.86 km² and had a population of 15,770 as of 2001.
The region is situated in an extensive plain that extends from Pontinha to Póvoa de Santo Adrião, running through Odivelas and Olival Basto. [3] The rest of the territory is formed by semi-rugged hilltops and valleys, dotted with pine forests and some small agricultural lands (some grazing sheep). [ 3 ]
