"Welcome Back" is a song by American rapper Mase. It was released through Sean "Puffy" Combs ' Bad Boy Entertainment as the first single off Mase's third album Welcome Back . This was the first single that Mase had released since 1999's " Get Ready ", after he had taken a five-year hiatus from the music industry.
The music video includes Littrell singing and playing his guitar, and showing glimpses of a father-and-son, from the time when the son as a child went to school, to when the son has grown into a young man going off to the military.
"Welcome" was written and produced by Mike Shinoda. "Welcome" is an alternative hip hop song, that features a church organ-based hook and hip hop based beats. [citation needed] Shinoda made the song available as a free download through Fort Minor's official website, but the song was also made available on iTunes and Google Play as a digital single.
