The Building Empires Tour was a concert tour by American heavy metal band Queensrÿche in support of their latest album Empire. The setlist consisted of the band performing their album Operation: Mindcrime in full. Suicidal Tendencies and Warrior Soul supported the band throughout North America.
The subsequent "Building Empires" tour was the first full-fledged tour to feature Queensrÿche as a headlining act (the band had previously headlined a tour in Japan in support of Operation: Mindcrime, and had headlined a handful of club and theater shows in the U.S. between 1984 and 1988, and the UK in 1988).
The album/DVD was recorded live during Queensrÿche's three night stint at The Moore Theatre in Seattle in October 2006, on the band's tour in support of Operation: Mindcrime II.
